Mojo The Sock Monkey : The Story Of Eh - Kevin Cornell

When I came across the world of Kevin Cornell, I was surprised I hadn't seen it before. Although sometimes a collection of just images and prints, there are infact some webcomic type comics in there as well. One of these inventions is a sock monkey called Mojo. I never thought I'd laugh at a sock monkey before, but Mojo is one of a kind.

The book details Mojo's life after quitting his job to getting his job back again, with absolutely funny and hillarious scenarios. Of course he quits his job the best way possible, by crapping on the table of his boss (and then stealing quite a lot of stuff) - which is the only way to go.

Although in colour, the comics are indeed just plain black and white (with an added red scarf thrown in). I think it saves it well to have it just black and white with fantastic colour for the titles, because sometimes adding colour makes the comic feel less what you want it to be, and Mojo is definately what I want it to be.

The only thing Mojo says is "eh" and of course sometimes you need something more than "eh" but in reality you don't. The "eh" with Mojo and the way its drawn shows you exactly what he's trying to say. There are a few strips that I was confused by what was happening, what was going on, but most of them I could understand, you get the sense of that from the actions of Mojo and the situations of sniper rifles, etc.

All in all I enjoyed sitting down to Mojo's adventures. The book is bound fantastically well, I almost wanted to delicately turn each page. Alas, after reading them all I really wished there was more. Of course there's tons online that I have yet to read, but... I thought it was small, even though its a fairly well amount of pages, 50 roughly, its just I got into the flow of them which sometimes you can with books and can't stop until you finish reading them.

My Rating : Eh eh eh eh eh, eh eh eh eh eh eh, eh eh eh eh eh eh eh! Eh!
