Monday Book News
Who would have thought an entire year would disappear in a blink of an eye and I'd still be writing reviews, but tomorrow is officially our first ever birthday! Woo! So Happy Birthday Webcomics in Print and thanks again for you all for coming and visiting. I've got a lot of plans for 2007-2008, so wait and see, hehe!
First off, the Flight books which are releasing their fourth book soon, give newsarama a sneak peak as to some of the pages available. Have a look at them over here
The wonderful Cedric & Gerard has just had some cheery news. Their third issue has just been released, packed with some awesome strips from the online site, and only for $3.
Jamie Dee Galey does a lot of brilliant art and has released put on pre-order his first ever love story. 64 pages of glorious artwork and only for a price of $5, go pre-order Small Love now!
This one is for me to be honest. As you may be aware, last year I set about the Tastefully Done calendar which raised a total of £40.75 (which is honestly great stuff for Cancer Research UK). Well, this time the project is much grander. The Kid's Book Project is a book created by over 50 webcomic artists, each creating one page of the story. They only get to see the page before and have no help with what they put on their own. It's currently in the early stages, but needs a whopping 200 pre-orders in order to be a success. It gets released in October and is only £6 per book (at least £3 goes to the Make-A-Wish Foundation International for each copy sold). So please help to pre-order it, either by linking to it or buying one yourself!
Oh, and finally, if you don't know bellen! then shame on you. Their first book was released ages ago, but they've just reduced the price to $7 including shipping, so why not get yourself a copy of their first volume.
