Afterstrife : Chapter 2 - Ali Graham

Chapter Two continues where Chapter One ended, right in the middle of a hell dimension. Even though we were introduced with Stitch and Megan in the first Afterstrife, this adds a bit more depth to it all.

Of course originally released for conventions and before the online strips, this is a nice version to carry when internet isn't around. It introduces our main characters to Banteurose and not only gives us a few new faces in the look of Tesp Doedd, Miss Conch and Mr Veld but also the fantastic detail in the city scape that will hopefully be explored later on.

It deals a lot more with Megan and her past, something I suspect will progress (especially with the third chapter of Afterstrife online and giving us some deeper aspect of her lives). Ali Graham deals with a lot of expression and emotion in the face, something which he wasn't able to do much with his original HOUSD comics (it's also good to see it hinted at in one of the pages here).

Afterstrife is intreguing and doesn't end with a cliffhanger, more of a nice ending, to hopefully be continued into a rollercoaster ride further down the line. Alas there are still no extras, but this is mostly because it's for those avid fans (or new readers) who want a sneak peak before the online catches up. I hear though there's possibly going to be a book released in the future...

My Rating : Afterstrife is after all getting to grips with the characters and will soon give us something meaty - I can't wait!
